Typical mountain hut made up of stone and wood, recently renovated in a comfortable and welcoming way. It is located at the foot of the mountain in Ronchi Valsugana among wide meadows and conifer and beech woods and a broad view on Valsugana Valley and Ortigara Mountain. It is an ideal place for relaxing holiday breaks, perfect for trekking and sky mountaineering lovers.
From RoncegnoTerme (32 km from Trento) take the SP 65 road direction Ronchi Valsugana (about 5 km from Roncegno). At the second junction, after the beginning of the village Ronchi Valsugana, turn right direction Frazione Marchi where you can find the small church and its little square. Go further on the SP65 and after 1 km, at Località Canai, turn left on a good asphalted road direction Desene mountain (good signalized is the restaurant Stua Le Desene). When you are at the restaurant go on for 2 km and on the right you will find Baita al Compo.

Semi-detached mountain hut made up of local wood and stone, with two floors and recently renovated. On the ground floor wide kitchen/living room with stove and fireplace, pantry/closet, toilet room with shower. On the first floor (mansard) two double rooms, a twin room. Central heating and warm water with thermo cooker, electricity with solar photovoltaic panels. Outside, a wide garden with barbeque and private parking place.

Local restaurants in the surroundings. In Ronchi Valsugana (8 km) there are a minimarket and bus stop. In Roncegno Terme (11 km) there are the post office, a chemist?s. In Borgo Valsugana (14 km) there are a hospital, train station, shopping centre with various shops, sport centre with outdoor swimming pool.

Seasonal opening with a minimum stay of 3 days(2 night) required. The price includes bed linen (weekly change), electricity, water, gas and final cleaning.
In July 2014 we stayed with 3 adults a week in Baita al Compo. We had a warm welcome from the proprietor Mr. Augustino Zurlo (who also speaks German). He showed us different malga's, restuarants en walking possibilities in the neighbourhood of the baita. His tips were very usefull. We enjoyed the very nice baita, the beutiful nature and the calm setting. We had a great holiday and I will recommend this baita!
