Set in the splendid setting of the Lagorai mountain chain, at the slopes of Mount Fravort, the Baita del Ciliegio in Paicovel is the ideal base for a holiday in direct contact with nature and relax, but it also offers many opportunities for lovers of outdoor sports. Thanks to the large green spaces that surround it, the house enjoys great tranquility while being easily accessible by car. Placed on a hill in at 1600 a.s.l., from which you can enjoy a great view over the entire valley, the hut is the perfect starting point for hiking and mountain-bike itineraries. The surrounding mountains offer hundreds of km of paths at a high altitude, mostly taken from the old mule tracks of the First World War, including woods, pastures, trenches carved into the rocks and many alpine lakes.
How to get there
Whether you come from Trento or Padua, from the Valsugana SS47 take the exit "Roncegno-Marter". At the roundabout follow the signs for Roncegno and continue straight on for about 1 km. Before crossing the bridge over the Larganza stream, turn left and take the tree-lined avenue. At the top, turn right towards the church Chiesa Arcipretale di SS. Pietro e Paolo and go straight towards Ronchi Valsugana. After about 2 km, at the fork take the municipal road on the left in the direction of "Pozze-Serot" and drive on for 10 km. Once you have passed the restaurant "Alle Pozze" keep climbing keeping to the right. Immediately after the fork "Agritur Rincher - Rifugio Serot" keep right and continue for 500 m until the end of the uphill. At this point on the right, marked Paicovel, there is the access road to the hut. Continue for 100 m and the hut is the second on the right.

The hut has been completely renovated maintaining the original features with stone masonry and exposed wooden elements. Equipped with all comforts, the structure is on two floors. On the ground floor, the open living area - with perlinated walls - features a kitchen with wood stove, a large dining room and a living room with a lovely fireplace made of recycled old wood and stone cladding.
The first floor, on the other hand, houses the sleeping area: two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with two single beds - with exposed wooden roof, larch floor and solid wood furniture for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Each floor has a toilet: bathroom with shower on the ground floor and a toilet in the sleeping area.

Bar-Ristorante Alle Pozze, Agritur Rincher, Rifugio Serot e Agritur Paradiso are reachable in a few minutes by car or by foot.
Supermarket and grocery stores in the nearby municipalities of Ronchi Valsugana (8 km) and Roncegno Terme (12 km). In Roncegno you will also find a pharmacy, a bank, a tourist information office and an outdoor swimming pool. The Hospital S. Lorenzo and the medical guard are available at15 km away in Borgo Valsugana. The mushroom picking permit can be requested from the municipality of Roncegno Terme".
