Situated in 1100m a.s.l. in nature park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino, on ethnographic path of Vanoi, near site of Villaggio Tognola, Prà dei Tassi, an ideal destination for little groups of people,
who searching a holiday in nature.
It is surrounded by pastures, but wood prevails the ambient, here you can taste smells, silence, see savage animals and a typical mountain panorama.
Reachable on foot in 10 minutes from parking place, access also on a forest road, but only
with transit authorization for forest roads. You have many possibilities for excursions on foot
or mountain-bike (E-Bike rental in village), to reach pastures and mountain tops of chain Lagorai.

From Canal San Bovo, 100 km from Trento and 60 km from Belluno you reach village Caoria, from here only with authorisation (delivered on arrival), you will be accompanied
The unit Pra dei Tassi is composed of two rural buildings with characteristics of traditional wood-buildings with shingle roof. The little unit called casera is equipped with toilets, basin and water, a little kitchen with basin and a closet with dishes (dishes, glasses, cutlery and cooker). In first room, next to entrance, is a wood stove, a gas cooker, a cabinet for food and another antique cupboard called una scafa. In the next room there are four tables with chairs and benches for lunch and dinner. In the barn called tabia you can find sleeping rooms, on ground floor shower and bathroom (toilet, squat toilet), washbasin with warm water, here it is possible to use solar panels to heat up. On first floor are twelve bunks with mattresses and pillows. Ideal if you have sleeping bag, blanket and sheet are not at disposal. Near the hut mobile telephone coverage is not guaranteed.
The village Caoria (bar, restaurants, shops, banks) is reachable in 15 minutes by car and 45 minutes on foot, five kilometres from hut. In ten minutes on foot you can find bar-osteria alla Siege, open whole day in summer. In Primiero (18 Km) are medical care, restaurants, shops, indoor swimming-pool and other useful services, in Feltre (30 Km) hospital.
